This Valentine’s Day create a romantic breakfast for your significant other that will put a smile on their face.

Here are a few quick tips to help you get your sexy on!

Things you’ll need:

Bisquick, bacon, syrup, butter, blueberries or strawberries, flowers, a tablecloth, napkins, napkin rings, chocolate kisses, real vanilla, Champagne, orange juice, pretty platter, heart-shaped cookie cutter or pancake ring, powdered sugar and butter.

If you have time make a batch of buttermilk pancakes from scratch, (See recipe) or speed things up by using Bisquick. I add a teaspoon of real vanilla to my Bisquick batter to enhance the flavor. Don’t forget to heat your syrup prior to serving. I use heated pure maple syrup,  But you can heat Log Cabin syrup right in the container and then pour it in a decorative container.

Don’t slave over the stove, just pop your bacon in the oven for 20 minutes at 350° while you prepare your batter. Use a two piece slotted broiler ban. Place a piece of foil on the bottom pan for easy clean up.

Set the mood with a bunch of store bought flowers and then cut and arrange them in a beautiful vase you already have at home.

The day before iron or steam your favorite white, red or pink tablecloth and place it on the table that morning pull out your china or use white or pink dishes.

Set your table and spread chocolate kisses and other colored candies around the flowers and plates. Use cloth napkins and your favorite napkin rings or place a rosebud on each napkin in the center of the plate.

For a romantic toast make a quick mimosa. Just fill half of your champagne flute or wine glass with orange juice and top it with your favorite champagne. I enjoy the fruity and sweet taste of Martini & Rossi Asti Supmante. Plus, it’s reasonably priced and I never get a headache the next day…lol.

That’s all you need to start your Valentine’s Day off on the right foot. Let me know how your special someone likes this surprise!
